Chasing my faithful sidekick chasing a rabbit through a dense thicket revealed a treasure trove of bamboo and bittersweet vines.  This unique creation features a Red Oak base with a deep chevron-like pattern and open spokes to highlight the pronounced curve of the bamboo element. Trimmed with hand-dyed round reed in dark navy and accented by cane stitching, it culminates in a rim with double stitched cane and round reed.  The growth welt allowed for more embellishment with round reed and love knots.  Finished with shellac.
