The Field of Flowers was created by weaving two graduated sizes of cane over hand-dyed black and navy round reed the approximate thickness of angel hair pasta.  Woven on a custom cut Ambrosia Maple pedestal base, an optical illusion appears when viewed on the oblique. The flowers seem to pop out of the background and complement the shimmering grain of the Ambrosia base.  A double stitched rim with a dark bumper completes this beauty.
