This is one of those unique pieces that is hard to forget once you've seen it.
 
Woven on a custom Gothic-inspired cross shape of Canarywood with two graduated widths of cane to define the shape.  This unique custom base was created by Mr. Bobby Williams, Williams Family Mill.
More rows of naturally-dyed reed (beet root, blackberry, onion) and a Cherry veneer strip were hand sewn on with artificial sinew to highlight the colors of the artist dyed elements.  The cane lashed rim features a dyed round reed bumper and the double curved bamboo element is pegged and secured with beads on the inside.  Finished with shellac.
