Upon the heart breaking removal of a Longleaf pine, the root was discovered to have grown around small stones and was used to crown the top of this piece.  Woven with a flowing zipzag motif that brings to mind how the needles swayed in the breeze, rimmed with pine needles and round reed hand-sewn with artificial sinew on a Canary wood pedestal base, this piece will capture your imagination with its Cherry and onion-dyed accent strips.  Finished with shellac.
