Ruby was created upon an original Ambrosia Maple base that only a discerning and imaginative eye could see the uniqueness of its appeal and the running dog shape in the grain.
Using a natural dye made from beets that were a gift from my Amish neighbor and blueberries from my farm, and woven in a twill pattern, Ruby began with three graduated sizes of cane in a gothic diamond pattern at the base.  The triple rim consists of a wheatsheaf pattern, a single wrapped rim of cane and culminates in a completely wrapped bumper guard.  Finished with shellac.
