A brisk day and a drive through the Scottish countryside found me in Galashiels enjoying the beautiful tapestries of Scotland.  With this original on a Red Oak base, the inspiring fabric and the drop needle stitch are showcased front and back.  Woven with three graduated widths of cane on hand-dyed spokes of deep reds and blue to black, I added a distinctive Sycamore element from my farm.  The cane rim and smoked round reed bumper are lashed with artificial sinew; finished with shellac.
